Virtual Device Architecture is a software solution aimed at connecting the world of things in car, distributing computing power and virtualizing features. It’s a seamless integration of ubiquitous smart devices to satisfy the demands of the “Always-On Generation”.

This architectural concept is an answer for turning customer pain (system complexity, costs, long development cycles, significantly-different smartphone roadmaps) into customer gain (keeping pace with progress in consumer electronics; seamless integration and ubiquitous access to data; creating a unique user experience & satisfaction).

The Virtual Device concept is designed using non-proprietary and open standards. It develops the idea of wise computing power distribution and utilizes the best features from on in the other. The proof of concept was released on Linux based TIZEN IVI software platform. This will be presented.

Tomasz Fidecki works as Senior Business Developer for automotive infotainment business and offering development at brightONE. He holds a master degree in Telecommunications and Electronics from Technical University of Szczecin, Poland. His professional experience includes designing and implementing solutions for embedded systems. He is main focus is on Look&Feel, UI design, graphical instrument clusters and in-vehicle infotainment solutions.
