Marek Strassenburg-Kleciak

Mr. Marek Strassenburg-Kleciak is an international expert in 3D data collection and navigation
holding 18 worldwide patents. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Poznan in
Poland and the Fine Art Academy (HfbK) in Hamburg/Germany where he also taught courses
for students in freehand drawing, constructive geometry, CAD and visualization techniques. 
Besides teaching at the HfbK, Mr. Strassenburg-Kleciak has also been instructing students at
the Technical University Hamburg and the Technical College Hamburg.
From 2000 to 2008 Mr. Strassenburg-Kleciak held the position of Product Manager 3D
Navigation for Harman Becker Automotive Systems developing 3D landmarks and 3D city
models for navigation systems and introducing them into the marketplace. He served the State
of Hamburg as a Scientific Advisor from 2008 to 2010 conceptualizing and supervising one
of the first 3D city models in Germany. From there he joined Harman Automotive Systems
from 2010 to 2013 as the Assistant Vice President Navigation and global intellectual property
and strategic studies specialist. Currently, Mr. Strassenburg-Kleciak is Senior Manager New
Business Development at Elektrobit Automotive.
Mr. Strassenburg-Kleciak is involved with the OpenStreetMap project organizing 3D
specification meetings.
